Gurpreet has spoken at many national and international events including the Battle of Ideas, the Cambridge Union, the World Woman festival in Norway, the Academy Under Trees, Berlin, the CDE, Prague and the Bienal Internacional de Teatro in Brazil.
She has been a judge for the Verity Bargate Award, the George Devine Award and the most recently was on the panel for the Writer’s Guild New Play Commission Scheme.
She regularly sits on the panel for the MA in Screenwriting at the NFTS.
Gurpreet has given talks/workshops in many schools and universities and is also a mentor to emerging playwrights.
She is a trustee of the Peggy Ramsay Foundation, a member of the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain and a voting member of BAFTA.
Gurpreet is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and an ambassador for Birth Companions, a charity that works to improve the lives of babies and women who experience inequality and disadvantage.
